Personal Information Protection Policy

This privacy policy outlines the principles and practices Coinkite Inc. (“Coinkite”, “we” or “us”) employ in the collection, use and disclosure of personal information from users (“you”) of our products, software and services.

What is personal information?

Personal information means information about an identifiable individual. This includes, for example, an individual’s name, home address, home phone number or e-mail address.

What personal information do we collect?

We collect personal information when you register for our services, when you license our software, when you purchase our products or when you use our products, software or services.

We may require certain personal information depending on what you wish to do. For example, we need a shipping address if you are purchasing a physical product. Other information is optional. For example, we collect location information of merchants who purchase and use our payment terminals for publication on our website, but you can decline to provide such information or opt-out of such publication.

How do we use personal information?

We use personal information collected from you in order to: (a) associate you with your account and validate your identity; (b) provide or deliver products, software and/or services to you and, if applicable, collect payment for same; (c) communicate with you about our products, software and services or your use thereof; (d) resolve problems, disputes or legal claims; (e) enable third parties to provide you products, software or services that support our products, software or services or that you request; and (f) develop, improve, market and promote our products, software and services. We only retain your personal information for so long as it is required for such purposes.

We may also disclose personal information in connection with corporate transactions, such as an asset or share sale or financing, provided that the persons to whom we disclose are bound by reasonable obligations of confidentiality. We do not provide, sell or rent personal information to third parties other than as reasonably required for the purposes described above.

How do we safeguard personal information?

We use and will continue to use commercially reasonable efforts to protect personal information. To that end, we use security protocols and procedures that equal or exceed industry standards. Further details regarding our security measures can be found on our website.

We also use third parties to facilitate our provision of our products, software and services, or provide you with third party products, software or services. In either case, we may disclose your personal information to such third parties to the extent required for such provision, in which case their use of the personal information provided to them will be governed by the privacy policies of those third parties. For example, we use a third party logistics service provider to deliver our products to you. In order to do so, we provide the service provider with your shipping address.

How do I update, correct or remove my personal information?

Subject to applicable law, you may update, correct or remove personal information by using our services. We rely on our users to keep their personal information that is accessible through the services up to date. If you remove certain personal information, it may limit our ability to make certain services or features available to you. For example, if you remove your mailing address, we will not be able to deliver products to you.

What if I have other questions or concerns?

If you have a question or concern about personal information that isn’t addressed above, please contact us.
